How is Corporation Tax Calculated in the UK?

Corporation tax is payable on taxable profits if you are a limited company, or an unincorporated association such as a club or co-operative. Corporation tax is calculated as a percentage of those profits, that percentage is known as the Corporation Tax Rate. The Corporation tax rate tends to remain steady but is reviewed each tax year and can be changed as required by the UK Government to support UK taxation and spending policy.

Foreign companies with an office or branch in the UK are liable for Corporation Tax on the profits from activities in the UK.
